Summary: Limited beta 2, Build 83

We are happy that Genie Scout for FM 2008 has been unofficially released today by Eugene Tarabanovsky. The file might have been leaked through the official SI forums, but it was Eugene himself, who uploaded the file online, in the known download folder of FM Genie Scout 2007. And of course, FM addicts were spying on this, until recently unprotected, folder all the time.

The "leaked" version is limited in functionality (beta 2, build 83), and you all know what the word beta means. You are using it at your own risk and that is as beta testers.

There are known bugs that come with the current beta version, and to prevail repeating posts and/or emails to Eugene and this site, I have written a forum post that features a summary of all known bugs and workarounds so far!

Unfortunately, there are too many impatient people, who would complain and spam Eugene's email anyway, not only today, but all this time while waiting for the Scout to get released. So, a personal request, please don't send any more emails. The developer is aware of everything and you can always use the forums to post your bug findings.

    I'm using 8.1 and i started the game on 8.1 , i have also disabled the compression thing, But when i try to load the game on genie scout i get an error message saying " Error loading Entity number: 22761 etc etc. I'm on Vista but I've tried running it in xp compatibility and run as administrator still no luck tho. Can anyone help?

    be sure to do these:
    - have latest official 8.0.1 and not one of the beta patches (this means you should have version 8.0.1.114310)
    - disable "compress saved games" option in game preferences
    - start a new game with 8.0.1
    - save your game
    it should load without problem now and don't mind about compatibility, it should work in both vista and xp
