Guys,
I would like to play online, please explain how I would do that, do I need to download software, does it cost anything, how often do you have to play? Any info on these would be great

well...from what i know you have to make a virtual network with hamachy, but i have played once without hamachy..all you have to do is make a server and give your ip to your mates.after they push join network thei have to enter your ip(the servers ip) and you're reddy to manage.never try'd the first method with hamachi but the second one works.
ps:at preferences->network you have to tick the "run as server"option in order to work....and of course....all the players must have the same version of football manager.
if you decide to make a server and if u need managers.....just leave a post somewhere or send me a PM.it's been a while since i have played against real managers

sounds good, I definately would like to play a game online with other "real" managers soon. sounds quiet easy so when anyone sets a game up I will try and join I think

hamachy is a program witch help you make a virtual network in order to play games on the LAN.for example here in romania me and may neighbour are 20-30 meters apart, we are in the same network but we can't play any games because our ip's are something like 192.168.52.34 and 192.168.67.35(these are just examples) and it desent work.in order to work me and my mate need to have ip's like 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.2(example) the first 3 groups need to be the same to work any games on lan but we have only 2.this is because the network is very fragmented(f..k the administrator).whe you use hamachi you make a virtual network with the first 3 groups of ip's the same and you can play even with me any game even dough we are miles distance...teoreticaly we can play with redarmy(sweden) and micah(uk) and playngdrama(germany)on lan.hope you understand.

I've used hamachi a lot to play against people, the majority of the time it works perfectly and is really simple to use. I'd reccomend it if you want to play online because it's near impossible any other way.

all u need the same version(8.0.2) in order to play all the human managers must have the same database....if both of you want...just post here and i will return with the server ip and password

I dont think I will be able to play it tonight, so I will have to do it another time. Maybe I will try over the weekend?
