its a broken bone, he is young as well, i mean if it was a player who was aged 28+ would have difficulties coming back from such injury.

i mean we have seen cisse recover twice.

and henrik larsson who had the same injury was back after 5 months.

so i think he will be back in 6-8 months ;)

Red is right (I am saying this a lot recently) although optimistic. They're comparing Eduardo injury with Alan Smith's (against Liverpool) who again recovered rather quickly and way ahead of schedule.
It all depends on the player and the healing process but let's be optimistic - from Eduardo's character he seems very keen to recover as quickly as possible...

I think he will recover sooner, but still how did taylow manage to break his leg, man... it takes a lot of power and strenght to brake somebodys leg... that was vicious tackle...

Any news how long is taylor going to be suspended (or is he)?

The break was only so bad because Eduardo's foot was planted in the grass.

I doubt Martin Taylor will be banned for more than the automatic 3 match suspension he is already given. Some pundits believe if the injury wasn't so bad it wouldn't haven't even be a booking...

Have you heard of Kruno Lovrek from Zagreb?
In Croatia during winter break we have a indoor league championship (5+1 system). It's played on artificial grass. He is 28 years old, and at the time was no. 1 goalscorer of the league. He asked his club president to spare him from playing because he doesn't like artificial grass, and the tournament holds no value or large money prise. In the 20th second of the first match he jumped over a goalkeeper that has thrown himself on the ball, landed awkwardly and broke his knee ligaments. He's out for 6 months.

It wouldn't be that much of a story but soon after this his club announced that he was set on a transfer to Deportivo la Coruna the next day. For the 28 years old player it was a chance of a lifetime. Deportivo management thought he was faking the injury because he didn't want to come to a club that was struggling to stay in the 1st devision. They couldn't belive that they made him play. Needless to say that the transfer was canceled.

agreed, u can clearly see that taylor went in for the ball. unluckily eduardo just made a touch to the ball and his foot was planted and taylor cant do anything now can he?

the timing of that was all messed up, if eduardo came in a bit late then taylor would have made a perfect tackle, if eduardo had come a bit late he would suffer such injury.

no only the bundesliga and the premier league

la liga and serie a are absolute crap. la liga is still watchable especially sevilla home games.

but serie a is just pure crap, its not as it was before, even though they have never been known to play 'proper' football they always had the atmosphere and all. now their stadiums are almost always empty haha, and they play some dull football.
