Eugene is a student and he has his own daily problems like everyone does. I believe he has disabled his site to avoid the common crap of people asking every minute when the heck he is going to finally release the damn program. This way he'll be able to concentrate on actually delivering the new scout sooner.
I don't think he intended to fool us and gather people who "lost" a Sunday waiting for him. He wake up early and set a goal to release the software before midnight. So what if he didn't make it. I think he will release it sometime today (Monday), probably early. We'll see, but in any case I want to believe that Genie did and still doing his best for all us here waiting.

Genie said he'd definitely release it today, he didn't say he might release it, thus giving us all the impression that it would be ready now.
I find it very convenient that his main site is down, just like before when he said it was coming in a few days, which after those days his site mysteriously went down....

god your all so ungrateful. ive wasted the day waiting but cant really complain. How much are we all paying for it again, oh thats right, we're not. So get some patience and wait til its finished. i'm sure he'll upload it as soon as he can

fm genie scout 2008 won't be released today or tomorrow. next possible release date is in 2-3 days for the first beta version. an announcement will follow on the homepage with more details.

Robbo3d, i understand we do not pay anything & we are certainly grateful, but when Genie pretty much says that the program will 100% be released on a certain day, then you expect that it will be. So people are constantly checking the sites, staying up later, generally wasting time because of false information.
i don't mind waiting, just not if i'm told 100% that something will be there and then isn't...
