probably just to make the game more real.you cant buy anything with your wage.ive playd fifa manager and there you can buy stuff like houses cars etc.but it was pretty useless cause you get to buy a new house for example and...that it...you personal fortune just drops.
i really think that the wages in both games are useless.
PS:in fifa manager you can donate money to the club.not so useless after all

the fifa manager series is crap compared with fm or cm but the thing that i like about the game is the youth system.in fifa man you can build youth camps upgrade them you have various youth groups based on the players age, you can sigh youth players at will at any age.fifa man is better than fm at the youth system and the creators of fm should change the entire youth setup in fm...make it like in fifa man or at least similar.

yh wages are there to make it look real no doubt.
and i dont think they should remove how much u get paid. and yh on fifa manager it sucks that u can buy houses and such.
