What transfers do you think will happen this Post-Season?

There were rumours of David Villa from Valencia coming to Arsenal, but were then shot down by Arsene Wenger himself.

I've also heard about Chelsea trying to sign either Kaka or Lionel Messi...I think it would be great for the EPL, but shit for the clubs the majority of us support.

I would love it if Man Shitty got Ronaldinho, as they wouldnt really be a threat to the Top 4 but it would create a bit of excitement in the League.

My thoughts for Arsenal, Lescott In, Flamini to Juventus and Alex Hleb to Inter.

What do you think will happen?

i dont know why flamini and hleb would leave arsenal. i cant see that happening.

personally i can see a big striker coming to man united.

huntelaar seems to be one of the favourites, even though i personally i might like to see another striker.

but it will be interesting seeing where mourinho goes and what happens with chelsea and barcelona.

personally i want to see Danny Haynes from ipswich coming to a premiership team.

If you were to believe the Newspaper reports, Hleb went for Ice cream and a tour of the San Siro with a rep from Inter supposedly.

Flamini is out of contract at the end of this season and he's a smart bloke, he'll wanna go where he'll get paid the best.

you arent 'smart' if ur a disloyal bastard and go to some other club just for money.

and i dont believe players are in other countries and visiting other clubs while in the middle of the season.

but seriously would u as a manager let flamini and hleb leave so easily?

of course after a shite finish to arsenal's season flamini might consider another option because he wants to win more etc.

but i dont think hleb will leave, certainly not so easily.

wenger has put so much effort in making hleb the player he is. and then let him off when he has just reached his peak?

and flamini time and again has shown he can be important to arsenal, dont you thin the manager knows that?

Of course he knows that, he's offered Flamini numerous contracts and nothing's been resolved yet.

Hleb did all that when they were playing AC Milan in the CL.

I know Wenger wouldnt want them to leave, but i can't see him forcing them to stay if they don't want to.

I hope that Mladen Petrić will go to Juventus from Dortmund. He's a player above their clase.

ive been reading that hleb only has 2 years left on his current contract, and can buy out the remainder under the webster clause or something. if thats true then there is not much wenger can do. i would be very pissed off if i was wenger and hleb did buy himself out and leave at the same time flamini leaves. he would definitely have to bring in more than 2 quality players (as he has been saying) if this happens.
Just a quick q, does this webster clause thing exist on football manager?

no sorry.

but still the question is that would hleb just leave like that? he must seriously have some heart for arsenal? if he doesnt and leaves just like ur describing it then i would hate him(if i was an arse fan).

i do think he has heart for arsenal and he's often said that he's good friends with many team mates like cesc and rosicky, but he may want to go to somewhere like italy because hes fed up of being hacked or of the physicality of the premiership. im an arsenal fan and i would hate him if he did leave using the webster clause, he would completely sell arsenal and arsene out.

latest news though:

Juve lining up offer for Flamini

Italian giants Juventus are ready to swoop for Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini, according to director Jean-Claude Blanc.

The 24-year-old France international is out of contract at The Emirates at the end of the season, and has yet to put pen-to-paper on an extension.

Speculation has been rife that a number of clubs are keen to sign Flamini, with Juventus linked with a move.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger recently stated that a decision over his future is imminent; however Juventus have now confirmed their interest.

Reports in Italy claim Juve will offer the tenacious midfielder a five-year deal, worth in the region of £3million per season.

"This is an important player who we have been chasing for some time," Blanc said in Corriere dello Sport.

"And it will have to be good to take him because many teams are interested.

"In order to convince champions you need to take into account their ambitions. To get champions you have to think big."

Flamini signed for Arsenal from Marseille in 2004, and has made the centre-midfield position his own this season after previously struggling to hold down a regular first-team berth.

thats the latest news, taken from teamtalk.

certainly now i understand it looks slightly concerning.

its like when ronaldo after the rooney incident was wanted by everyone and it was a hell of a summer. i just hoped every day that when i woke up i wouldnt see a headline saying he has left. and thank god he didnt. and of course we have Carlos Queiroz and Fergie to thank because they put alot of effort to make ronaldo stay in england. and now look at him.

I have also read that what wenger has been offering Flamini is much lower than what Juventus are planning to offer. Which is incredible really If you have the money that arsenal do you would think they would treat their players better and show them how much they mean to them (I don't remember the exact numbers but I think juve are planning to offer close to 40K/week more than arsenal...and that is a joke)
I would love to see Ronaldinho at man utd(Fergie had rated him, and he admited before that one of his greatest regrets was not signing him when he was still at PSG)
As much as foreign players are loyal, they are loyal to themselves first(what I mean is they put themselves first)...
ie. henry left arsenal b/c of the seperation with his then partner....now rumours say he wants to be back in England b/c he misses his daughter
2. Samuel Eto threatens that if barca don't win anything by next year he will leave
and i reckon that the big players like hleb or flamini are after there own...although they would leave with a heavy heart...they will leave to follow their ambition

arsenal are offering flamini 50k a week apparently, which is what wenger is willing to give within the clubs wage budget, wenger is very strict about this wage budget and its going to annoy at lot of arsenal fans because we are going to lose flamini. ive read that juve are offering 70k a week and theres also been a story that flamini supported juventus as a child. really not looking good...

I feel for you mate somewhat that is ( I don't like arsenal, and definitely don't like wenger) but I don't all this talk about within the budget because I'm sure they have a much bigger budget and ability to pay their big players that kind of money. You see it with man utd we show that we appreciate the player and we give him what he deserves.
I think arsenal team had potential but I think Wenger really messed up this time, I think he is afraid to dig into his deep transfer kitty so then he wouldn't be resoinsible if the player doesn't succeed and so he could always have an execuse of "it's a young team" and "we're learning" I also thiink that he is afraid of having a bigger budget because again with bigger budgets there always bigger expectations.
I think Arsene needs to change things drastically this summer

what i had heard at that time ronaldinho had come with an agreement with united, but their negotiation with PSG didnt go well and barca snatched him up.

but thats good because we bought ronaldo instead.

Wenger's very smart with money as he does have a degree in Economy. He said it himself, if he was to buy a player for 30mill he'd expect them to score from the kickoff every game, I think he's one of the only managers out there who knows how much something is really worth.
(He also helped design the Emirates)

On the topic of Flamini, he has a Law Degree on top of being a brilliant footballer. He used a loophole to be transferred from Marseille to Arsenal a few years back. I have a feeling he's gonna do the same sort of thing and leave on a free to get a shitload of money.

I don't know much about his background but I am comparing his purchases to others from the league especially the top 4
now Sir Alex went out and splashed money on nani, anderson and owen did that add any more pressure on his position as a manager no, did they have to produce right away no everyone needs time to settle in. My point essentially is while everyone he is competing against goes out and buys great young talent and are willing to take the risk he was fine with his team in january he never thought of adding any one good to add to the side. I would have Martin Oneal in this critisism too(he is a great manager...you could see what he has done at villa) but the squad is too small.
Wether you think he knows how to value a player or not (i'm not so sure about that) he's got hoyte, gallas, almunia (leahman has got every right to be angry), ...should I carry on.
all I'm saying is he needs to take chances, go for the big necessary purchase to lift his team and provide us with more competition next year
