If you train them well and play them often then they're attributes should go up, then their value would as well. I think so anyway.

right i have done this a lot of times in my juve season i should put a thread on it sometime,
1) Make sure they play regulary (good standard compeition)
2) Train them with legends at that pos (learning)
3) Train them well
That is sure to move it up a notch

usually getting him a bigger contact deal makes him a bit more expensive.
otherwise you can just cheat and give him a bigger value and reputation if u wish to do so.

if his value is set high does that mean other team wil purchase him for around that value or will they buy him for his orginal value?

it depends as well, if the player has for an example 140 in CA and PA, and has had a decent season or is doing well.
you can value him 40 mill, but i dont think any clubs will be willing to pay that much for a player that is that bad.
but thats just an example.

if you really want a player, and your willing to cheat, then you can make him unhappy and rep low and all that on modifier. then change his contract to expire in one day then you can approach to sign him and should want to come to you, that way you pay nothing.
