How many on here try to make FM as realistic as possible?
by realistic i mean the following:
- Realistic transfers, not changing much of the team in the first season.
Keeping the signings realistic. And not going of signing 10 unknown wonderkids that you found using genie scout.
- Keeping it domestic, by not just signing a lot of foreign players and keeping it realistic. Im not saying that not buyin foreign players at all. But reality has to be a part of it.
- Not using much of genie scout and such. Trying to use your own scouts, and judging players from your knowledge and how they are in the game. Do you just buy the best looking players, or do you look closely at their stats and see that you need exactly that kind of a player?
There could be more points to this of course.
i like to keep most of my games as realistic as possible. Not just signing a lot of foreign players and wonderkids. I try to bring up my own youths of course. And i do sign some young good looking potential players. But i dont go off and 'cheat'. im not saying that this is the way to play.

ye i do but its hard i think sometimes i put no transfer budgets on so i can only sign free transfers and it keeps the club up in money with a good monthly income

Last time i did that was in fm 2005, but that was before i found fm scout. It was also the best fun i had playing fm.

it does, but at times if you maybe have 2 good players but you only need 1 of them you might want to use genie scout to really compare them and see who would be best for your team.
of course you could do that in the game as well.
but genie scout does ruin alot of the fun in the game

Glad someone agrees with me. I used to be Derby on 07, get them to prem in first season then aim for 17th. Then try to get CL eventually. Alsmost won it. Now im usually Arsenal and im in Year 2022 and im bored of it.. Im the best manager that ever lived :P
