I've always brought in loads of youngsters and developed them into the players ive wanted them to be and the postions i want them to play...

But i recently wondered if i could improve their chances by the training I have given them. I'm useless at selecting training as my past expirences have left players unhappy. so normally i leave it the the default schedules, and selecting auto pick for the coaches duties.

Can anyone explain to me roughly how i can keep players happy but have them improving greatly??

Im not sure if player types make any difference at all, but i buy young brazilians mainly(as from my expirence they play best in my team) but also other south american players. I play with arsenal so i already have good coaches. but i do invest in better ones as i stumble across them.

well first of all i think you should get "training schedules" for every position, full backs, centre defenders, wingers, att mid, midfield(defensiveMD), attackers(fast and target). this really helps.

then on the coaches thingy thing.

u got to have "7 stars" in every categori. its easy to pick coaches for 1 duty. if 1 coach is really really good at defending then he will be coaching the defensive stuff, and a coach should not have more than 1 "job" to do. otherwise u cant get "full stars".

I agree with RedArmy20.
I'm doing this kind of training since FM06.
In FM07 I found out, that if U have for example
a promising young winger, it's good to tutor him
by a first team player with the same position.
I tried to tutor a young central midfielder by
a right back and it was a mistake, because it
ended up with a conflict between them.
I can also recommend to :
- if u are training a defender, reduce his training
in attacking and shooting to minimal. he'll then train
defensive skills much faster.
- if u have a striker, reduce defending to minimal.
it works for me

Be careful when you pick senior player to tutor youngster.. When they have personality differences, it will end up both players having you as their dislike person (stupid players!!) lol

After they both had conflict because personality differences, go to modifier and check for both senior and young players in their information section where they have favourite and dislike club and person.. you'll know what I mean..

It's quality that counts not quantity..

quality is worth much more than quantity
Look at how it is in FM.
It's better to have two very good midfielders, than 4 decent,
who are only qualified to be stars of lower division
I signed a contract with Fabregas, who wants to quit Arsenal,
because he doesn't like his current manager - Van Gaal.
He wanted to be transfer listed by request, I offered 50mln EUR,
but Arsenal wanted 55mln EUR. I agree and in the next transfer
windows Fabregas is going to be a Man Utd player
He will be a good tutor to youngsters.
The sad thing is that I'm changing Man Utd to Valencia

oH No man.can anybody help us ?

about that quality and quantity.
**** it,it is better quantity, especially in England.there is over 50 games in a season, possible injuries, and if you do not have adequate cover, that is bad, especially if you are going to win league with weaker team.hmm i play with weak team,so quantity is better for me

Mate, i thought you knew.. no swearing here!

I play in England and trust me, that is better to give youngters
the chance to play in the first squad in less important games.
One youngster or two cannot do any damage to your team.
And it can be very helpful, because U can test which players
can be a backup to your team and which can't.
That's why my reserves and U-18 are full of young potential players

well, of course you will have some young players on sub bench.
that is not problem, but they must be good enough for that.i am just saying that i would prefer similar 1st(starting 11) and 2nd(subs) team, than fisrt team much stronger than second.

and playingdrama, **** it, i did not know that.

ok, I'm considering of allowing swearing up to a point that you are not offending others, because you have valid grounds on this request hehe

Stam is Militia since August 11th 2008
Stam is convinced that army is a big fat waste of time and unfortunately for him it ends on August 11th 2009
