Who here has seen Gomes?
What i'd like to know is what you guys think of probably one of the best keepers in the world atm.
Also how under rated is he in FM :S

i dont think he is that underrated, he is good goalkeeper.
but he isnt a great goalkeeper.

I'd say Cech and Casillas are. Cudicini is, Doni is, Reina is, Valdes is, Ceni is, Leo Franco is, Canizares is, Hildebrand is, Ricardo is, Boruc is, Julio Cesar is, Frey is and many more but my brain's kind of hurting.

nuno i disagree with you when u say cuducini, valdes and leo franco are better than gomes.

Frey is probaly the same as gomes,
casillas is far from what he used to be, cech hasnt been key to chelsea for a rather long time.
Than doni/julio cesar HA hell no.
valdes makes to many blunders, and i know i try to watch all barcelona games i can. Reina not bad but valdes is better so gomes better too.
canizeres got bumped for reason and koeman wanted gomes to come to valencia for a reason.

But name me one goalie other than buffon for italie and van der sar for netherlands/Man Utd and maybe cech if you look over more years who has saved as many games/points as gomes does.

mate i already told you, Friedel, Howard etc. they have done some brilliant saves for their teams and helped them alot. and they have been consistent as well.
and i watch eredivise and i think i know about gomes. he is a good goalkeeper. and i have already said it. he is good but not GREAT.
but then again he plays for a top team in holland, but it doesnt make him great. but he is the best brazilian goalkeeper at the moment no doubt about that.

well, at least he tried
thing is though, he used to be a class keeper. but after that 'attack' on him. he kinda lost it. he has been inconsistent since then. at times brilliant. and on occasions his grandma could have done better.

I can't believe what I'm reading here. Gomes easily belongs to the top 5 of all the best goalkeepers in the world. I'm a seasonticket holder at his club psv. I see him play on weekly bases, and I need to tell you, this man is freakishly good. He prefers to throw the ball onto the other half of the field rather than kick it like other goalies. He is the crowd's favorite player by far. He's very loyal to psv, and without him psv wouldn't be at the top of the league right now. Here's a compilation of him. I know compilations aren't an exact image of a player's work, but I'm telling you Gomes is brilliant at reguraly bases.
