Have you played FM2008 yet? What do you think of the new skin? Any totally new good players that you have found yet? What about the new features?

Well Marcelo (Real Madrid), Anderson (Manchester United) and John Obi Mikel (Glorious Chelsea FC) are all described as a 'Wonderkid'.

In theory, all players described as 'wonderkids' should have the potential ability to get described as 'world-class players'. By saying should have, the creators of the game suggest that should have = if trained well, whatever that means.
I've never seen a wonderkid becoming a world-class player in the past though, probably because I've never played more than 4 seasons any team I ever managed... ok with one exception (the team was Histon in the UK... an almost amateur team which I was promoting every year to the higher division until I reached Premier... 5 years!)

i found a few good players benzema - lyon , nasri - marseille im sure you know them... other guys are marcos arouca da silva - fluminense and matias fernandez - villareal. only had the game one day and that who i found

if you can take some time posting those players to the Best FM2008 Players Database, it would be cool. see how i have posted the ones already existed and try to gather as much info from those as you can, to post.
in any case, if a player is not mentioned anywhere in this site, it is good to have people sending their new findings. and so far, only 4 players are posted. i have a lot more to post, but currently no time. hopefully, soon ^^

Henri Saiviet is amazing for my youth team. In one game he scored 5 goals for my under 18's!

Done... I was replying to your new post (that I guess you deleted before my reply) and saying about my demo experience and some key players I had bought that helped me progress with dignity in all competitions (even European ones) with Aab... and then I lost my msg the moment I clicked Reply lol

At a glance:
I selected to manage a Danish team called Aab. A great defender, Michael Jacobsen plays there.
So I bought these players:
- Rodrigo Fabri
- Eduardo
- Cahais
- Torje
- Alamo
- Mtiliga
The team did very well. In 40 games I won 34, I lost 2 and the rest draw. So, I think with a good tactic and 4-6 good players, you can get through most matches a winner.
However, the whole FM series is rather unhealthy, since I have heard of people losing their actual jobs or getting divorced by playing this game lol

Yeah it's a great game to buy if you want to fail some courses at uni (as I found out last year)
I guess that the game is more realistic now and is harder.
But I've never really played the game without the scout. Maybe thats why its so hard.

A very addictive game. I have spent countless nights searching for players and especially when the transfer months begin... well, you just know it will take solid 3-4 hours just for January's transfer period lol

Yeah I sometimes start games with Salisbury FC (just got promoted to BS Premier) and it is a new kind of hard: Getting players to come to you! I should probably be getting some good sleep right now, but FM is just too addictive!!

Oh something to note is that Shevchenko always has personal problems. I've already send him home for a month and he still comes back homesick.

Back in FM07, when I got Histon and went to Player Search with the Ask Assistant to filter out unrealistic targets enabled... I got 2 players only as a result LOL

I've been playing this game for about 2 months. Played in almost every major EU leagues. plus Argentina'n league.
Actually this game has better environment than any other FM&CM series. New additions are great and the game looks more enjoyable.
BUT:
Although applying the latest patch the game is still very difficult. Very difficult and very difficult. Usually my teams play one sided games with lots of scoring opportunities but only a few of these turn into goals. I've been playing with Liverpool in my 3rd season, my team has top quaility strikers such as Torres, Benzema, Kuyt, Saivet but they cant convert these chances into goals. Suprisingly, every single opponent who encounters me can almost score every opportunity they get! Strikers attributes are totaly meaningles! There wasa game where a player with 7 Finishing made a hat trick against my team with 3 shots on goal! WOW!
To sum up, your team's pottential does not matter. It is easy to lose a game against a relegation battler team while your team is a title challenger!
I hope that SI Games will release an effective patch soon or I'm going to simply throw this game away! It makes me sick...
