What are the songs of various clubs that their supporters sing and which of them do you find best? I know that Liverpool's fans sing You'll never walk alone but I have no idea what do Aston Villa's or Tottenham's fans sing.

Bristol Rovers - Goodnight Irene

Irene goodnight, Irene goodnight,
Goodnight Irene, Goodnight Irene,
I'll see you in my dreams

(we mainly sing the chorus)

But this this is the best.

People might be like this niggas conceited, but fuck it. I feel like I shine. And I dont give a fuck

Interesting, it doesn't sound like something you would sing on a football match.

tbh knowone really knows but there are a couple of theories. Supposedly it became popular in the 1950s when a version of the song was in the British charts - the line "sometimes I have a great notion to jump in the river and drown" - seemed to be particularly apt when Rovers lost as the River Frome flows alongside the old Eastville ground.

The other theory is that it was sung at a fireworks display at the Stadium the night before a Home game against Plymouth Argyle in the fifties. During the game the following day, Rovers were winning quite comfortably and the few Argyle supporters present began to leave early prompting a chorus of "Goodnight Argyle" from the Rovers supporters - the tune stuck and "Irene" became the club song.

People might be like this niggas conceited, but fuck it. I feel like I shine. And I dont give a fuck
