Will or did you buy FM 2009?
Of course!Not sure yet
No, it's worse than FM 2008
No, I'll wait for 'pirates'
How does it work? Seriously!

Was just wondering...
Does the game engine calculate results purely on the stats - or are results predetermined in any way? For example, if Man U, Chelsea, etc are playing a relegation favorite, does the engine say "right, whatever the stats, there's a 90% chance Man U are going to win this". Or does it really play the game out purely using the player data and tactics? Obviously I don't think it's all predetermined (would be a rubbish game!), but I guess I want to know how much is in your hands and how much is "staged".
I ask because, in my short time playing the game, I'm getting frustrated by how my season is playing out. I feel like I could have the best 11 players in the world and I would still be struggling because the game has me labeled as a relegation team
I can handle just being totally rubbish - that's good because it's something to work at! But if the game has already determined my fate (to a large degree) then I'd rather go do something else
Thanks!
and if u look in the editor that comes with the game, you will find that there are stats for team. like the players have attacking and such. teams have a few of them as well.
bigger teams will be better overall, and the smaller teams will be worse overall.
and even though the big team will have a bunch of shite players it will still be able to do well, but that will change in the course of the game slowly. and if ur playing with a small team and have a great great set of players but still dont do that well,, that will change as well and your 'team stats' will become better as you play.
