having a problem with screen resolution, game has now decided to play on a smaller screen resolution with no changes to settings being made
iv full uninstalled and reinstalled several times but problem still happens
now having just downloaded updates and grahics (from fmscout) i want to enjoy them in full screen
any ideas?

In the command line of the Target field type --fullscreen_width=1600 --fullscreen_height=1200 at the end after fm.exe"
that should do it.
and that picture is just an old example. this works with fm 08 as well.
as my desktop option is a shortcut i tried to open the game from the original from the program files, but i get another popup box saying that my installation may be corrupt :S
going to try another full uninstall
any other ideas?
also just uninstalled and it cannot remove the data folder from the program files and the folder in my documents is still there too?

by the way whats your screen resolution?? you have to put that instead of the one i gave you in example.

are you running 8.0.2??
and are you using Windows Vista?
if you dont have 8.0.2, download that patch and see if it works.
it took two trys at doing the uninstall b4 i got the installation to work properly, 1st go it said that it hadnt worked properly and to check the installation log?
wots making me think tht its gone wrong is that there isnt an option for the game on the start menu, and no desktop items either?
is that normal?

i dont know what you can do now to be honest.
maybe maybe if you try to install the game on the 'second harddisk'. i mean if u have 2 harddisks then try to install it on the other one which doesnt have windows vista on it. that might help. other than that im sorry mate.

click on start menu, and then a map called games, should be on the right hand side i think. in there you will find FM 08 just place it on the desktop.
