Closing Down is the setting which tells your players to run right up to the opposition players when they get the ball. This can stop or put off a player trying to take a long shot on goal.

Make sure your players have High Anticipation and High Tackling to do this.
As i found out, if you tell your striker to he will kick 2 sh*ts out of the opposition players and get carded lol

i got a problem...
i got this coach who's attacking is 20, and tech is 17... and the shooting is still 6 stars... any reason why????
ps: it was all fine last season... the same guy was with 7 stars... now shooting and Ball control stars have gone 1 down

ya... but the crazy part was the coach had 18 tech rating last season...

I think its like the players when they get to a certain age or if they are not training players using that stat they go down?

i just signed Sinsa Mihajlovic as a Assistant manager...

well, i dont know.
staff are like players,of course their attributes changes.
but i really do not know why.
if he is on attacking training ,then attacking should not decrease,but any other attribute can decrease.
about age,well i do not believe in that,except he have 89years

there are many good coaches in the game,if you are managing high reputation club,you can get great coaches,so if he is not good anymore,just buy another.

Fire them all when you start managing the club, it is more likely they will accept a mutual termination at the very beginning. If there is a good one among them (usually that's not the case), you keep him of course.
I see a lot of regen staff, which I don't like and I try to avoid them when picking my staff members. I usually go for 30-60 years old coaches, with reputation as low as possible (so I get them on cheap salary).
Regarding the stats dropping, it's not normal but it happens. I mean they are staff, they don't get injured, they get older (and thus more experienced)... someone would expect their stats only to increase. Well, another bug of the game I guess.

i am having to change most of the staff after 4 years... guys who get 2500 wages... during time of end of contract want high wages... for example 6 coaches rejected new offers coz tehy want like 17000 wages a week... and my board would allow only 12000, but ya... can find replacements easy...

i've noticed that if you do not want your players loose their attributes easily they should train every category with as high intensity as possible.
in other words the training must be balanced.
for example.i noticed in my last trainings that my attackers did not trained defense as they should and their defensive skills decreased constantly.
i've made some more balanced trainings that are very good so far.

my training program is brilliant.
my players go up in most catogaries, they dont go "minus" on anything.
and i got good coaches so i have 7 stars in every training thingy thing thing

You should only bother maximising their training on things they need though..Why would a Fast Striker need Defensive training for example?

yh but you give them "light" training on that. not none.
and in that way they wont go down on their defensive attributes.

well about strikers with defensive training, it is nice to see your striker stealing the ball and scores,especially it is good if you play pressing.
and about attributes going down,if you do not have good coaches ,attributes will go down with light training,but with good coaches and medium training attributes will go up.,and i like "complete" players,good in every aspect.

haha, well who doesnt like to have complete players.
but yeh i understand strikers winning the ball and so, but depends on your players potential ability as well i think, if he has a difference of 20 then he can become a complete player more or less. while if he is near his potential ability like 10 in difference, then he wont become quite the complete player.

haha, well who doesnt like to have complete players.
