Current Team?: Yes
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Edit: Not a chance.

GK: Akinfeev
LB: Ezparza
CB: Zapata
CB: Felipe
RB: Vanden Borre
DM: Gelson Fernandes
DM: Ilsinho
AML: Wijnaldum
AMC: Guilherme
AMR: Elano
FC: Bojinov

S1: Hart
S2: Rafael Forster
S3: Zuiverloon
S4: Banega
S5: Renato Augusto
S6: Kerlon
S7: Saivet

Thought at the beginning that I would need a new striker, hence Saivet and Guilherme. Bojinov continues to surprise me, scoring over 25 goals a season with ave. rating over 7.5 so don't feel I can drop him!

Hello.
I've chosen Schalke and I'm in the second season. I hardly manage to find 4 players trained at Schalke, and for registering in the UCL, I had to withdrawn from my squad some good players. Jeninho(I'm not sure of the spell) said that he had many brazilian players in his squad.
How did you manage to find enough local players for registering for UCL?

Simple, dont sign so many players in your first season. not just that, but sign a few youngsters that you will bring up to the first team squad in 2-3 years time. Dont signt too many foreign players especially not too many from the likes of brazil.

And when you have to have at least 4 home grown talents in your team? or something like that. Then just choose 1-2 of your reserve players who have been at schalke since youngsters.

Yes, but if I choose 1-2 players from the reserve team, I have to withdrawn 1-2 players from my first team that I may need
Thanks for the reply

you can choose 25 players, i doubt you will use every single one of them in the UCL or the UEFA Cup. so either dont have that big of a squad full of bought players. or you can keep 2-3 players as 'backup' those players that you know you wont be needing for the UCL. And that you can see that your reserve player can replace him more or less if you have real injury problems and such.

and its also real life which you would have to deal with you know. Not everything in life is easy

Thank you red But I have a question, is this rule in real life? I really don't think that Arsenal, Inter, or CFR Cluj(those who have won the championship in romania) have 4 local players to submit to UEFA.

Arsenal would have Fabregas, Clichy, Senderos, Djourou, Hoyte, etc.

Remember, the players don't have to be local, they have to be home grown. I think that means 2 or so years training at the club whilst they were under the age of 21.

They also have to be EU national. Most players are though, was just thinking about the young players from africa brazil and such.

And yeh, there are many home grown talents at every other team. Its not jsut players from the same country. Its players who have been with the team as atlantic said.
