Just wondering whether anyone knows when exactly FM 09 will be released? Does the SI games website say anything about this?

i think definaltly more options availible with interactions, talking to media about the upcoming match, more availible with talking to players so you can get a bond better with players, but i think the manager interaction is good atm what do you guys think?

and yes more details on players such as legs so they can like slide about when they do a tackle and you can actually so the goalkeeper movement

i think the best thing about fm 08 was the player interactions and such features.

I think they will extend that a bit. But i dont think we will see a big big difference of course.

And i do hope for more details when it comes to tactics in a way or another. But i was more or less thinking about team talks and such. because mentality has such an big affect on a player a match etc etc. And even though you get your tactics perfectly correct. The mentality of your players still is a big part of the results out on the pitch. Even of the pitch.

So i hope you can have more 'mentality' control in FM 09.

Yes i didn't say there was anything wrong with them. It's just there needs to be more options available to say to players, only more options. But red, its more talking to the media that needs to be improved, because theres only like 5 options you can choose.

where would football be without the media, red.tv,radio, newspapers, internet, are all ways of promoting football in various form(good form of players, bad form, scandals, transfers and so on).media is a very important part of football, but from the managers point of view is not very important.so youre only half right red.

I remember back then playing Championship Manager 2002/03 (or even earlier) in the tactic bit where you need to set positions of every player when defending and attacking. The game used to have this bit and i must admit it was part of the fun when playing CM at that time because you needed to be sure where you put your back fours, midfielders and forwards in every part of the field (i.e near the goal, kick off, corner either in defending or attacking position). Does anyone know what I am on about?

They seemed to have removed this setting since CM was changed to FM (2005) and I just wish that they could return this complicated yet interesting bit in setting your tactic.

i wasnt saying that watching football and news arent part of the football.

im just saying that this bollocks that always goes around in the media now a days about footballers and what not. thats nothing to be messing around with.

football's connection with the media is only: Showing matches, interviews of players and managers, and important news.

but the rest of the shite isnt needed. and i think its enough about the media in the game.

Yes i know what you mean mate.

how the team should be positioned when in attacking positions. how to be positioned on throw ins and such.

so yeh thats a feature that would make things much better. but i think that feature should be optional. because there are 'kids' who play this game and wouldnt really understand that much of that kind of tactic alterations to the game.

yeh but i think if this feature is brought back to fm 09 then it will be far more difficult than CM and those days haha.
