I’ve just finished my fifth season with Barnet.im now in coca-cola championship.
The thing I have noticed is that you should use simply tactics with that weak teams.
I tried to use tactics which I used with Red Star, but it was not good.not even close.

Of course tactics depends on your players stats.
I have some tactics for you.
Of course they are just basic tactics for some play styles.you should change them for your team needs.

not bad.

i usually play with a team a few matches with a formation that i will have for the rest of the season, and then depending on how it goes i make some changes in the tactics...the more i play with the team the better my tactics become.

so at times i get a slow start but in the end im flying.

me to.every start is bad,but in the second part of the season players are great.it is important that in every game you notice what is good, and what is bad in your team, and then it will be great season.

I think it's a matter of team chemistry. I mean with the same tactics in the start of the first season you don't see as good results as you see later. And it makes sense, the players need to get a better understanding of each other.

Stam is Militia since August 11th 2008
Stam is convinced that army is a big fat waste of time and unfortunately for him it ends on August 11th 2009

I agree with you with the fact that team performances pretty much depend on the level of understanding from each player. Basically it is more and more like a real life football. Players need to adapt and build a strong understanding with his team mates. No matter how good a player is, he needs minimum couple of games in his belt to get that chemistry with his team mates. therefore I simply doubt there would ever be a brilliant tactic that works from the day one you are in charge...

yes.i noticed that about chemistry.
ideal tactic will never exist.it was possible to make it in FM05,but now that are impossible.
the thing is that you will not play push up defense if you have slow defenders,or short passing if you have players with bad passing.

also,at every start of the season i start with some of that tactics that i posted, because i play with low rep club, and every year someone leaves or comes to my club, and at the start of the season i have to make tactics for the whole team.
also if you change RM,you will not have to change just RM instructions, other positions depends of that RM,too.
of course when you have good players that difference is not big so you do not change things, but in small club i must.

yh exactly, many i know usually cant play with a low rep club, because most of em just do things fast and dont really look on what will suite a player.

one thing i also realized that even though ur strikers or any other player has good "long shots" its not always the best to make them shoot long often.

well if not a player has 18+ in long shots. but it works fine with midfielders.

about that long shots, i never give my strikers to do it,even if he have good attribute.
about midfielders, it better works on DM probably because he have more space around him than AM,and it is easier for him to shot.

yeh i realized this in fm08, in fm07 every player with good long shots i gave him shoot long often.

but now as soon as they get the ball they will shoot :S, and i only give 2 of my midfielders to shoot often.
