Im Newcastle in my second season and for my first season i was killin it nd my team wer bossin every other opponent

My Team:

Given

Beye Samba Taylor Enrique

Mudingayi Barton

Milner Valdivia Gasbarroni

Owen

Owen was scorin hatricks nyon every game (avereged at 1.4 goals a game at end of season), my defence didnt concede often if at all nd this 4-2-3-1 tactic seemed to be God. i also bought Ianis Zicu, and michael woods that season.

Now in my second season i bought Vanden Borre, Fabrice Muamba, Luis Jimenez who joined my after i bought him last season. Now it is a lot more difficult for me to win, owen isnt scorin as much (neither is martins) my defence seems to concede at least 2 goals a game nd the midfield always loses the ball, i tried changin tactics nd formation but im not as solid.

Whats goin on?! lol

Ahhhhh.... 4-3-3, i get it.

its newcastle, thats why.

nah but the thing is you have bought new players, it takes time for them to settle and the team to settle.

it doesnt really help that you start changing tactics and all.

if u have a high squad discipline and all, then it shouldnt be a big problem at all.

i have never had problems with things, you might be expecting too much from the team and such.

because this is a new thing with fm08 which is good, that some players cant handle too much pressure etc etc etc.

and you have to say the right things in the media and all.

well fuck it, it happens to me every year.
but this is because i sell and somebody every year, precisely my board sells players.

players need some time, but, also i change tactic when it happends, and things go better, maybe not in first game after that, but they start to play better, and soon there is results.

so the only thing i do not agree with Red Army is "it doesnt really help that you start changing tactics and all".

the thing is ,that you must know how to change tactic.

what i meant was that people start changing tactics and the squad might not be able to settle in properly.

of course you change a bit in ur tactic in nearly every match, by that i mean the personal instructions.

but changing ur tactic overall aint that well now is it? well i changed my tactic once, and it was because i had the same problem, i came up with ipswich to the prem league and played some great football and all. but then the same problem happened that i might concede to many goals etc. but it wasnt that i didnt win enough games or anything. but i changed my tactic to 4-4-2 and it helped, considering the team changed i had made. but that has only happened to me once.

but the main thing in tactics is the personal instructions, and everybody should know that by now.

and by the way, i think you got to also say the right things in the media, to ur players etc etc. ;)

well you are right about media, and to be honest,it is going on my nerves.
i mean ,you must make pre game comment about 60 times.but it is the reality
of course changing instructions is better, but sometimes formation needs changes too.

THE BEST SYSTEM 4-4-2 for home or when you are stronger
4-4-2 diamond for away or when you are weaker.
in most cases that is the only change that helps.

but of course i love to play 3-5-2 or 3-2-2-1-2 , so i sometimes change formation completely.

i like to keep it simple more or less.

i have also noticed when i dont take my time on fm and just run through it kind of, then in like 5 matches i wont do that well at all.

i think if u are to be a "winner" with a smaller team then u got to take ur time to adjust things perfectly. because its not fm05/06 anymore that u can just buy 1-2 really great players or something and just continue playing 20 games in 1 hour like hehe.

Wel i started playin with two strikers which seems to help as one can aid the other instead of fully relyin on owen, but the opposition still seems to score, i set my centre backs to closing down a little bit less but there players jst score form outside the box all the time and if i put closing down often on the striker jst take it past them.
Whats the best instructions to giv a centre back?

Ahhhhh.... 4-3-3, i get it.

if they are scoring from outside the box, than push up with your defence line.
