FM24 to FM25 DLC

With the launch of FM25 cancelled, the FM24 lifecycle will naturally get extended for a few more months.

Every year we have several unofficial addons that one could combine in order to make the FM database feel close to the upcoming official one.

However, there wasn't enough time to justify putting together such a bundle because we'd normally get access to the new game in a matter of 6 weeks or so (between the summer transfer window closing and the early access of FM starting).

This time is different as we are forced to wait several more months until we get our hands on FM 25.

We asked the community and the majority (more than 50%) voted for a DLC for FM24 with updated squads. A lot of them are even willing to pay for such a DLC if Sports Interactive would release one.

So the sentiment was "let's do our own FM25 and make that DLC for FM24"!

We reached an agreement with TheNotoriousPr0 and SirTAVARES to bundle together a mix of their files, alongside the best transfer update that is FMTU.

As a result, we proudly present to you the FM24 to FM25 DLC which is a collection of data files that will bring your next FM24 save as close as possible to the official FM25 database.

In a nutshell, that means you will get almost everything ready for the 2024/25 season, including updated squads, promotions / relegations, league format changes, new wonderkids, as well as player ability changes.

What's included in the FM24 to FM25 DLC

Transfer Update by FMTransferUpdate.com

Hands down the best transfer update in the Football Manager scene. All data edits are 100% clean and accurate. No empty, no duplicate, no unnecessary changes.

Promotions, Relegations & Updated EU Places

Clubs will be competing in the correct league for the 2024/25 season. It covers all the top European leagues and then some. You will find several files instead of just one because the FM24 pre-game editor doesn't allow merging files in case there are also competition changes involved.

Competition Changes by TheNotoriousPr0

There are 3 files solely with comp changes and 9 others combined with promotions and relegations. Sadly there seems to be a pre-game editor limitation that makes it impossible to re-create the new format of EU competitions 100% correctly.

New Wonderkids by SirTAVARES

This file contains a total of 334 new U21 players on high potential ability. That essentially means new wonderkids.

There's a version that includes more players (on lesser PA) as well as new staff available on SirTAVARES' patreon.

Ability Changes by TheNotoriousPr0

Current Ability (CA) and Potential Ability (PA) changes have been applied to numerous players who already exist in the FM24 database. These changes should reflect the players' real life performance during the 2024/25 season.

No Injuries & No Suspensions at Start by SirTAVARES

Begin your managerial journey with a clean slate and a fully fit squad, eliminating the initial hurdles of player injuries and suspensions which applied at the start of the 2023/24 season but no longer do a year later.

43 leagues & 800 clubs have seen a change in their budgets.

+1 Ages, -1 Contract Expiry Dates by FMTU

A custom start date a year later wasn't a great option for us because all the key data files in this DLC wouldn't have the intended effect. So we opted for the next best thing. Make people 1 year older and their contracts expiring 1 year sooner.

There's 1 file for each 'action'. It's up to you, should you wish to use these or not. We reckon using them makes things more akin to real life.

Installation Instructions

In a nutshell:
This DLC contains 21 .fmf files that need to be placed in your "editor data" folder. Then you must start a new FM24 save, ensuring all files are selected from the database drop down menu at the top.



Step by Step

1. Extract the contents of the pack you downloaded from here to your editor data folder.
   Windows:
   

   \Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2024\editor data\

   Mac:
   

   ~/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2024/editor data

   Most likely you didn't place the files in the appropriate folder. Since FM20 the files are stored elsewhere. Previously the files would automatically be generated in the Documents folder here: Users/YOUR Mac USERNAME/Documents/Sports Interactive Now the files will instead appear in the following location: Users/YOUR Mac USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive By default this folder is hidden, so to access you need to do as follows: Open Finder Click ‘Go’ from the menubar Press and hold down the ‘Option’ (Alt) key This will bring up the ‘Library’, click to enter then go to ‘Application Support’ -> ‘Sports Interactive’ -> ‘Football Manager 2024’

   The location of the "editor data" folder should be the same on Steam, Epic and Gamepass. If for some reason you can't find it there, go to the Preferences screen in-game and type the word location in the search field at the top. You will see the folder there and change it if you prefer.


2. Fire up FM24, pick START A NEW GAME, then select CAREER mode.


3. On the CAREER GAME SETUP window, hit the DATABASE drop down menu and ensure you are on the 24.3.0 Update and all 19 files of this DLC have a check mark next to them. As explained above, there are 4 optional files you may choose to not enable.


4. Hit the Choose Game Mode > button, select ORIGINAL, then hit the Advanced Setup button.


5. You're almost there. You might need to wait a bit until the next screen loads up. Once it does, select the leagues you wish to load and set any custom database size options you prefer. And finally hit the Start Game button.

As a general thumb of thumb, any addon that's potentially altering the same data as the files included in this DLC might cause conflict and corrupt your save.

This megapack improves various in-game parameters in over 220 nations.

Just remember to avoid the ones that might conflict with this DLC, such as CA/PA ADJUSTMENTS + NEW WONDERKIDS & OTHERS, PLAYER SALARY FIX, STAFF SALARY FIX and NEW PLAYERS.
