How to run GS26
- Extract the downloaded .zip file and run the setup .exe file.
- Follow instructions until installation is finished.
- Run Football Manager 2026 and load your saved game.
- Continue to the next day in-game.
- Launch Genie Scout 26 and from main menu click "Load Game".

Genie Scout 26g Explained
DELIVERY OF THE 'G' EDITION: The process of distribution for the "g" edition has been automatized, so you will have to wait just a few minutes before you receive a download link. Another email containing the key file might take a while though. But only if they have sent correct contact email, correct Unique ID alongside your donation.
Make sure you check your Spam folder too.
It might take up to 24 hours though. In case of problem with your donation, please reach out to the email address you'll see in the message after donation.

Bug Reports
During closed beta stage for supporters, most bugs that came to surface were fixed. As a result, the public edition should be reasonably stable from its very first version.

Known issues:
- Sale value for players is not accurate and sadly we have no way of making it work as it used to be before GS13.
- In-Game Scout ('g' edition feature) doesn't currently work.
Any comment including bug report posted on this page will be removed on sight!
EXPORTING DATA:Please understand it is forbidden by the EULA from SI and SEGA to export all the data from the results. You should be able to export only basic information such as player name, club, age, etc.

@Goudinho: This sounds like something that might happen when the key file is missing from the setup folder. Any chance you're getting a relevant message about the 'key file is not found'?
@cantbebothered: I have noticed that too and passed on the feedback to Eugene to investigate.
@Kraha @karl7676 @proud_gooner: If you're on the g edition, update to the newest version. For the public edition you need to wait a few more days until it gets updated.
@YayaSanogo23: I'm confused. Do you mean that in GS26 you see Finishing at a different place compared to where it was in GS24 when opening a player profile?
@DonCochonnes: If it's saying "Key file is not found" it means you haven't placed your key file in the setup folder of GS26g.
Peeps, if you read the comments before thinking about spending money on this: RECONSIDER! Genie Scout is pretty dead right now.
I have even uninstalled and re-installed from downloading the latest client
i have installed all FM26 updates too & restarted my machine
When i try to use genie scout, i get an error message to say my version of FM is not supported 26.2.0+ 2276383
any ideas on how to resolve?
The issue is that the player’s general rating, such as Best Potential Rating or the AML/AMR rating, is often higher than the rating shown when I click into the player profile and review the specific role ratings for that position.
For example, a player may be listed as 87% as a winger, but when I open the player and check his roles on that position, his best winger role may only be rated around 81–82%. This is despite the player having 20 for positional familiarity/suitability in that position.
This was not the case in previous versions of Genie Scout. There seems to be a significant mismatch between the general rating and the role rating, and in most cases the role rating is noticeably lower once I open the player’s profile. This appears to affect wingers in particular.
Could you please check whether this is a bug or an intended change?
So far in Scout I had the attributes arranged in a way where Finishing was at the very end (just like in the Polish version of Football Manager). In the current version, Finishing appears in a completely different place. How can I change this?
Why does it say 24g? I only have installed 26g and also use this one (I double checked that).

@Waelvis @Fratelinho @DrLaser: There's a workaround for the age issue (practically it fails to read the correct date right after the save is loaded). Once loading your save in-game, continue 1 day. Then load data on GS.
@myersmidg: This is happening for several years now. The update of the public edition is delayed for ~4 weeks on 2 occasions; game launch and main winter patch. It's Eugene's way of rewarding his direct supporters.
